Re: Coral House
Check out as many as possible. Their's nothing wrong with that. The main thing is that you are happy with your decision.

Re: Coral House
I think you should check it out. The prices were very reasonable...I looked there about about a year ago...I didn't like it only because I'm having a small wedding and the room that I would have to use wasn't that nice...I believe it was the Colonial?? It had this horrible yellow & mettalic wallpaper throughout the room...The CH would have been in this bar area that I felt was really dark. I peeked into the bigger rooms and they were really nice. Good luck!

Gotcha! There's one room, the Americana, actually looked really nice on the website.

Re: Coral House
The Coral House was the first RH I visited. I hate to be the one to say not so positive things. But I found that place to very outdated. The bathroom did not look nice and they smelled. The only nice room was the center room I think it called the Americana. They allowed us to try the food it was pretty good.

We went and the medium sized room was nice, kind of outdoors like but we felt it was too small but, the Ameriacan was nice. We just didnt feel it there after we sat and talked about it.

I'm going to see the Americana room. It looks really beautiful on the website. They sent me a brochure and everything is outdated, so I'm glad to hear that people are saying that room is nice. I hope I like it. I'm sick of looking around for halls!

They do have good offerings and all but, we are looking for something that hits us.

We looked at Douglaston Manor in Queens, Greentree, VIP, Beckwith Pointe, and some other one in New Rochelle. Greentree was my favorite but a lot more than what we want to pay.
I'm still waiting to be hit myself. SOCK IT TO ME ALREADY!!!! Maybe the Americana room will hit us....

Re: Coral House
We thought Douglaston Manor was so-so I liked the upstairs room a lot - the conservatory? The downstairs was pretty, sort of narrow? And we didn't like the painting on the wall.
I guess it wasn't our style exactly. I like that country club look but something was lacking there for us...
