Cork place card holder Idea

OK ladies..let me know what you think...we are getting married at vineyard and i have a million old corks so i thought i could maybe use them as either place card holders or table number holders by cutting a slit into them. I actually saw the idea in a magazine wiht a champagne cork but thought it could work wiht wine..what are your thoughts?

I think that's adorable!! I love it!! It is def a great idea with your whole vineyard wedding!

That sounds like an awesome - super creative! - idea!! Most corks wind up having a fatter end - that could be the base and the other end could be slit.

right on... I also was going to say make sure they are anchored-- you don't want them tipping over!

Great idea! Maybe you can create a bed of sand or rocks or something and stick the corks in them so they stay grounded.

Thats a good idea! I also saw it in one of the summer magazines and thought it was unique.

Yeah..thanks for all your enthusiam...I think grounding them is key...don't want to have a domino effect =) I will have to test it first...It could also be used for tbale numbers or names but is it too low down then?

I oove that idea- to use them fro the placecards. I think they will get lost on the table if you use them for the numbers.

those sound like a great idea
i think they would be too low for the table numbers.. but maybe you can use a wine bottle for the table numbers? it would make for an extra gift for someone to take home
