For those of you that had a corset built into your dress, were you able to breathe? lol ...I love the way it looks, but everytime I try my dress on, I feel like I can hardly breathe after 10 min. How the hell am I going to dance all night and move around having to suck in all day?!
Maybe its just me...or maybe they are tying it too tight. HELP!

just went dress shopping over the weekend and they were all corsets. i honestly felt i could NOT breath. could it be anxiety and a mix of it being too tight? lol

Re: Corset
I've worn corsets before and will have one for my dress. I actually like the corset because you can loosen or tighten it as much as you want. When you get to the dessert part of the wedding, loosen that corset!

Re: Corset
My dress has a corset and I honestly did not feel that way at all. It just depends how tight they make it. If they make it tight enough to hold the dress up but not so tight that its squeezing you then you should be alright.
The only problem I had with it was sitting down but that is because I'm a serial sloucher and you can't slouch in a corset lol

Re: Corset
Mine was fine since I got my gown custom-made for my wedding. Unless it's custom-made, I would just get a gown with a corset boning instead of a built-in corset which would be a lot more difficult to get comfortable. Def have a second dress that you can change into for the reception. It's a trend right now for most brides to change into a shorter length dress so they can dance and cut the cake w/o dragging their puffy gown w/ the train. I had a second dress for my reception and I loved it. I def would not had been able to dance or move around wearing my strapless ballgown particularly in the summer time.

Re: Corset
I actually liked that feeling.
It helps when you have a larger chest so I guess thats why I liked it so much. It just holds everything in and together.

Re: Corset
At first it was overwhelming especially since my dress is so heavy, but I think I'm getting used to it lol. The last time I put the dress on, my fiance (who usually has nothing to say other than, 'you look beautiful') said 'Oh my god you look like you don't have one ounce of fat on you!' and then he said it again! & it made me feel flattered by the dress. he hadn't seen it on me since i'd shed some weight.
I like it tight-ish because it stays up where it should be and it looks slimming. When I tried on dresses that didn't have it I felt like it didn't cinch my waistline quite enough.
