My dess sample was a corset back, btut it cn be ordered witha zipper. I originally didn't really want a corset back, but I kind of don't care. My mom is against the corset, but I feel like it will save $$$ on alterations and also be able to be pulled snug so I don't need to wear a bra.
Thoughts?

I like the zipper backs faster and easier to put on and get out of after the reception ;) lol , im so lazy..

i got a corset back for the same reason. i was able to save money on the alterations so i can pull it tighter and not have to worry about gaining or losing weight

I personally prefer the looks of a zipper back, plus its easier to get out of haha. But if you are looking to cut costs....corset is the way to go. Go with whatever you are more comfortable with. If it doesn't matter to you, then do what makes you happiest

I also prefer the look of a zipper to a corset back but I also this it depends on the dress. Some dresses that are really romantic looks great with a corset back.
I mean, if you don't care either way, I would listen to mom. lol, mom knows best.
IMO, alterations are totally worth it for a wedding dress! It should fit you like a glove regardless!

I love the look of the corset back and orginally that was what I was I going for... but I ended up with a zipper back. I actually like it though because it is much quicker to get on and trust me, my girls are going to probably have a field day with my bustle that at least they don't have to tie me all up in the back as well LOL

I thought I really wanted a corset but ended up w/ a dress that has a zipper.
Some dresses have an internal corset - so you still get that sucking in thing but it has the zipper on the outside so that's what you see.
I also it depends on the detail of the dress on the back - if there is too much going on i think a corset would take away from the other details.

Mine is a zipper back which I love! My cousin had gotten a dress that buttoned in the back she wanted to rip it off after the wedding because it was taking to long to get her out of it! Love the zipper!

i really love the look of a corset back, and that's what I was looking for. I ended up going with a hidden zipepr back with buttons over it... so its not much quicker than the corset backs to get out of lol... but i like how the corset really ***** you in!

My dress has a corset back and I love it. I wasn't really set on it, but when I tried it on I loved the way it s*cked me and gave me such a defined waist.

I see you are getting married at the Riviera in Brooklyn and I just wanted to let you know that my older son had his wedding there in 2003 and it was fabulous!!!! The only reason my younger son did not have his there is because he didn't people to say his was 'copying' his brother. Good luck.

my dress was a zipepr back. , BUT i lost majjjjjor weight 7days b4 my wedding. i even dropped 3-4 lbs in ONE DAY so day of, it was a lil big around the belly, so it wasnt super smooth the day of ( i didnt have boning in it) so it kinda scrunched
i still preffer the zipper of corset.. corset it too much work lol

Corset back. I don't have to worry about the zipper breaking or getting stuck. Plus def extra suckage. I'm not worried about them tying me up that's why I have a doc :o)

I prefer the look of a zipper back, that was one of my requirements when looking for a dress! But if the corset costs less and you don't mind either way, then go with the corset!
