This may sound like a stupid question but if I get a corset back put in my dress do I need a long line bra? If not what should I wear? Can I wear a spanx under it?

Its thats piece of fabric that you see behind the corset when its tied up, if you didnt have the panel you might see skin inbetween the laces

Celia, you are not going to be able to breath with the corset as is so keep it simple. maybe just cups sewn in? i don't know if i'd do spanx either....the corset really works wonders.
it made my size 8/10 look like a size 4

My dress doesnt have a corset right now- I am thinking of putting one in. I really am liking the look of that. The only thing with cups- will it hold the girls up? Gotta remember I am not in my 20's anymore

I had a corset back dress. I had cups sewn in. I was initally going to wear nothing but then the seamstress suggested it & I figured she knew what she was talking about. My mom initally wanted me to wear a long line bra & thank goodness I didn't. Best bet is to try on a dress with a corset back & see how you are most comfortable. The seamstress can pin the cups in so you can see what it will look like.

i have a corset back dress and bought a longline bra for it but it wasn't low enough and was showing over the dress ... so i scrapped the bra idea and went with the more comfortable cups idea

my corset was so darn tight that I didn't need anything. They are not going to move.,..I am a c/d cup size.
