Corset Top?

Corset Top?

So, last week when I went to Bridal Reflections they told me that if you plan on dancing a lot at your reception, that it is better to not get a corset top. The consultant told me that it would loosen and will need to be tighten throughout the evening. How accurate is this?

Very accurate esp if you have big boobs. My roommate had a corset but no one took her aside to tighten it the entire wedding. When the dress started to loosen up, it started to fall down. She told me she HATES her pictures from the wedding reception because of this. She even said she knew it was happening which was why she was hiding in her pictures. I don't know why she didn't just tighten it.

I think it is a good thing to get a corset back if you are getting strapless and have big boobs. My other friend got married 2 years ago and her dress was nice a tight during the ceremony but the video from her reception shows her picking the dress up constantly. She said the one thing she would have changed would be getting a corset back not a zipper.

It is honestly personal preference for the look but if you think you are going to be pulling the dress up all night, just get the corset back.

DEF GET CORSET TOP FOR MANY REASONS. (they are going to turn 'our dress' into a corset for me!!)
If it is tied right the first time it will barely loosen.. my friend hired someone from bridal reflections to do it the day of!!
But if you have a DOC or make your mom or MOH learn how to do it correctly, it will be fine. And if it needs some tightening, they can fix it for you!!

Agreed. I haven't gone dress shopping yet, but i wear corsets a lot. If you tie it right the first time you will be fine. Worst case senario, get your MOH a lession and have her retie it once or twice the night. I think corsets are beautiful and if you love the look don't worry about it 'falling'.

I had a corset top, have big boobs and was on the dance floor all night. I didn't have a problem at all. My sisters made sure I was tied in tight when I got dressed in the morning and I was good to go. I didn't have to tighten it all day. I had no issues with it falling down. It was perfect.
