Cost Factor

Wondering if anyone would be willing to share how much a 'high-end' wedding can run me? Looking for about 150-180 people, but I want to do it right. Any places I should make sure I check out before I make up my mind? Thanks girls!

Can you please be specific.
what do you mean by 'high end'

their are places that can charge 150 per person, 300 per person, etc...There are places that have site fees.

Please be specific and the girls on here can and will do their best to help you out.

I am having my wedding at the new Inn at East Wind. The place is amazing, you should really check it out.

I think you can have a high end wedding were ever you want it to be, its how you decorate it is what could make a difference. With flowers and fabric, people make reception halls and tents look amazing.

High End....like upscale. I have a vision of my day and it does not include the average hall. I want top of the line food, certified angus meat, fresh produce & fish and premium liquor. My friends are all in the food industry and I have been to weddings with full 2 lb lobster tail and filet mignion with foie gras. This cost her almost $100,000. I know Oheka is nice, I have been there a number of times however, I was not crazy about the food (granted they don't choose the menu!) Also my girlfriend got married @ a castle in Colorado so that is out. Where else on LI is there that will have GREAT food and amazing views? Out East maybe? I am open to anything just need something different.

I would go then with a caterer and then a really nice reception site out east at maybe one of the vineyards.... if money is no object you can have the best food-

now that I think of it- if money is no object, hire the Barefoot Contessa and have it in the Hamptons.

i think weddings in the vineyards are amazing. since you have to start from scratch, you could bring in whatever caterer you wanted and have it match your vision perfectly.

There is a caterer to the stars in the Hamptons, I believe it's called the Art of Eating. They can plan your whole thing for $$$$$. good luck!

I am having a lobster for everyguest at my cocktail party. They are creating a seafood display!
And one of my 11 main course entree's it Filet minon..

WHO cares.
Why does the food mean a wedding is upscale.
What makes something upscale is how you host the party and who attends!

I think Russos's on the Bay is high end.... we have a choice of 11 entrees, we added on the seafood bar at the cocktail hour which include whole lobsters.... but maybe i am just being partial
