I'm doing the saturday (all-day event!)- its $150 per couple.

$60 for 4-week pre cana in someone's home.

$500 church donation.

We paid $75.00 for pre-cana and our church is $500.00 and $200.00 for the music.

I know what pre cana is, but who needs to do it? Is it only if you are getting married in a church? I don't know if this is something we are going to have to do...

It's a requirement if you are having a catholic ceremony in a catholic church.

Ok that is what we thought. One of us is catholic, and we knew that we have heard it in conversation, but we are going to have an interfaith minister marry us at the hall. Thanks for your help!

Pre Cana was free. We do have to give a $300 donation to church and $75 for singer and $75 organist for wedding.

Ours is $50, and it's four weeks...
Our church donation... lets just say I think it is too much... between the music director, the parish donation and an 'offering'... plus I have a visiting priest coming from another parish to marry us.. add in the altar servers.. yeah, it's a lot.
