My friend just sent me a spread sheet to calculate all my wedding expenses. I almost fell off the couch when I saw the estimate. I never put all the costs on one piece of paper!

Re: Cost of a wedding
I know it is very shocking how much is spent on a wedding! Everytime we go to a different vendor I am floored at how much they are.

So far I'm under budget, but I'm only 1/3 of the way booked... haha. So I try not to think about it.

Re: Cost of a wedding
i have an excel sheet made with equations in it that calculates all the balances for my vendors minus the deposits and it also adds the grand total of whats being spent so far.
it was the best and worst thing i could have done! although it keeps me on point with my money it shows me the grand total and that makes me want to throw up

LOL, I actually created my own comprehensive spreadsheet. The first tab I got from Martha Stewart, but expanded it some more. It's broken down by sections with subtotals and then all added up as the bottom so everything changes as you change one number. Then I have individual tabs like invite lists, cost per head for catering, etc that changes the front sheet as you change each individual item (I'm an excel junkie, lol). I did this even before we got engaged to try and figure out how much we needed to start saving and was nauseous the first time I put all of the numbers in. It's staggering!!! If anyone wants a compy of my spreadsheet FM me and I'd be happy to send them a copy. Although, you may not thank me afterwards,
