How much do you plan on spending on wedding favors? I wanted to spend about $200 on them, and I really want to do caramel apples for my fall themed wedding. I just got quoted over $500 for them (including overnight shipping). Is this outrageous? does anyone know of any places that will do this for a lower price and include adding a ribbon and tag?.

How many guests are you having? It would be hard to to get them for $200 unless you make them yourself.

Re: Cost of favors
Can you find a local place to do them for you so that there is no shipping. Also I noticed your wedding is next november so you could make the apples yourself. Make a fun trip of it and go apple picking. I wonder if Afresh Approach does caramel apples. Their prices are pretty good.

Re: Cost of favors
100 guest tops! might end up having a little more than that, but I don't see it going over 105.
I looked in to Daffy Apples & there's were about $200, but..you had to wrap them yourself and basically do a lot that I'm not willing to do the day before my wedding.
Also, I the cost is higher because I want to go with California Caramel Company, and to overnight them it's $96. So this an OK price for favors? I want to order these because I love them but didn't want to pay too high of a price for them!

IMO, that is a lot to spend on favors. Def look locally or what about DIY?? Even if AFresh Approach doesn't do apples, you could always talk to Jeanne about doing some kind of fall themed truffle. yum!

I'll look into Afresh Approach! I've heard good things about them. That would be fun, but just knowing me..I want everything to be taken care of! :\ I'm not very crafty and I know I'd stress a lot more if I had to do them myself!

A fall themed truffle sounds amazing!. I really want to avoid any DIY stuff when it comes to the favors, I know I'll end up paying more but over $ 500 just seems like a LOT more.

Yes! I looked on daffyapple.com ! to be safe, I wanted to get 120 apples. It came out to a little under 200 for those, but I'd have to buy at least 100 of the cellophane bags (a little over $20) and then wrap them, and put the ribbons on and buy the tags..which are cheap off Etsy.

Honestly, she is amazing. Such a sweetheart! I got truffle pops from her for my e-party and they were a huge hit!

Re: Cost of favors
i don't have any suggestions, but I just wanted to say that favors are so frustrating to me haha I can't get over the fact that after the wedding is over, you still have to provide a little extra something for people to take home. I WONT but sometimes I just want to put out a card that says 'in lieu of favors, we've provided transportation to and from the hotel, an open bar, and a kick a$$ party' or just not address it at all. plus i'm having issues picking something that isn't a huge expense.

Me too! I honestly think it's kinda crazy...we're already paying $100 for your plate! lol. I'm pretty hell bent on doing caramel apples for my favors though and unfortunately they're pretty expensive. Wouldn't it be nice if it were acceptable to just put that in a card?!

Fresh Approach is not cheap though, and aren't they chocolatiers? I don't think you can get them for $200....

Anything less than $500 is okay with me at this point!. I just spoke to Jeanne & they do make caramel and chocolate covered apples with the cellophane bags & ribbons! I'm going to meet with her next week. I hope they're cheaper!

Re: Cost of favors
$28 per lb of truffles. We needed enough for 95 people at two truffles each so the total was high $200's.

I did chocolate covered oreos for 100 favor boxes and it was 150. Thought that was a really fair price with them. Loved their samples!
