I'm trying to add flatware to my registry. Anyone know what an average cost would be for one place setting? What I like seems kinda high, but maybe i just have no clue. Scratch that - I DEFINITELY have no clue.

I'm not sure of an average but I did register at Crate and Barrel for my flatware and a place setting was $37 or $39. I think the serving sets were the same price.

The one I just registered for was $55.00, and it seems like it's sort of a lot, but I felt like most of them at Macy's were around that price.

i don't know how much of a difference it makes, but is this everyday flatware or the fancy flatware. I think the fancy ones definately cost more... And don't worry about the Macys. I registered there and for my e-party got a bunch of gift cards. FH and I were looking on line to see if we wanted to use them now and everything (mostly everything) we registered for was almost 1/2off.
The whole point of my rambling is... if you want it go for it. You're only going to do this once and if people don't buy it for you directly, you can always get it later with the completion program.
