Cost of newspaper announcement in Li?

Hi all you night-owls!!
Curious what it costs, to put engagement/wedding announcements in LI papers? Here, in Lancaster County, they're EXPENSIVE!!!

we put a pretty good sized one in a local town paper and i think it was about $75. i don't think its much more than that around here


ETA: we had to pay for our e-announcement, but the 2 wedding announcements were free

For crying out loud!! I should show your post to our newspaper!! Ever since they've changed the policies and prices, the engagement/wedding pages have been BORING!!!!! To put what use to be a 'normal' announcement in the Sun. paper, the cost is $200!!!! One has to use a magnifying glass to see the pics!!! And, I personally think the announcements are far more interesting and necessary, in terms of subscriptions to the paper!! Not only that, but, when Daughter, Debi, checked a local reception venue, just to compare, the gals mouth dropped open, at what Debi and Fred are getting for their money, at Chateau La Mer, New York, versus, small town, Lancaster County!!!!!
