We are in the process of booking our honeymoon in Costa Rica. For those of you who have been to Costa Rica or have already booked your HM there, please let me know where you stayed and what you loved/hated. Any info on the hotels, restaurants, tours etc would be great!!

Ooh- I LOVE LOVE LOVED Costa Rica!!! We stayed in Jaco, not too luxorious though, kind of budget-y. We DID drive through the Marriot Los Suenos (GORGEOUS!!!), but there was no surfing out front, so we wouldn't stay there... Umm... otherwise I would suggest The Villas Calletas (sp?), it's on a cliff, awesome. If you have some time to try to navigate, this website has a link where you can look at tons of photos of all the hotels in Costa Rica, I just can't seem to find the right page... Have fun! I went there for a destination wedding and my FI (Boyfriend at the time) and I went one week earlier to stay on Tambor in an all inclusive resort. It was sooo much fun !!

Check out: Tabacon Hot Springs, it is right under and active volcano, at night you can see the lava shooting out into the darkness, extremely romantic. The most amazing hot springs!
Also check out: El Sapo Dorado- in a cloud forest and great for horse back riding and zip tours.
Also check out: Si Como No- located in the beach town of Manuel Antonio- amazing beach with the rain forest as the back drop and monkeys swingin' in the trees.
Finally: Punta Islita: just beautiful! But it is out of the way.
Food: Generally pretty good, didn't have any meals that blew me away, but the tropical fruit was always delicious.
There are a lot of insects everywhere you go, but you get used to it.
