Looking to book honeymoon to Costa Rica soon. We are considering a RIU hotel on the pacific side. Does any one have any experiences (good or bad)? Recommendations? Comments?

I booked ours at the Hilton papagayo..check it out it looks really nice...I researched a lot and I thought that was the best for the price..my client went to the riu and she said it was nice but in the middle of nowhere! Good luck I can't wait to go!!!!

we stayed at the RIU in Cabo - great time beautiful hotel...as for costa rica look at the occidental grand papagayo - that is our favorite place we would go back in a minute.

Ahhh Costa Rica is the BEST place ever to go to!!! Fh and I went on vacation last January to Manuel Antonio and absolutely LOVED it! His mom always talks about Papaguio, she said it was def amazing and can't wait to go back!
The only thing is the weather in our summer months isn't always promising. Def look into the weather for August!

The occidental grand papagayo is now called the paradisus playa conchal....it's supposed to be awesome too!

Not sure about the hotel, but my dad loves Costa Rica. He has been 7 times in the last year and just bought a condo there. Good choice!
