Costs of weddings

I was just curious... My FH and I we looking at halls for April 04, we only saw 6 places, but it seems like the costs are out of control. The cheapest we got was $75pp +tt on a friday night. Is this reasonable or outragous?

On LI, I find that cost pp reasonable (and of course that is without tax/gratuity)...good luck finding a place. You'll feel wonderful once you do!!

We switched from one hall was $75pp on a Friday night to $60pp on a Saturday night. We're saving at least a few thousand.

go for that--we are paying a ton more thats good if you can find even $75 pp!

If you are happy with the place for $75pp then you should book it. If not, keep looking. Try the Meadow Club, Port Jeff Country Club, Holbrook Country Club, Irish Coffee Pub (not sure how much they charge though). I have also heard great things about Capitan Bills, but not sure what they charge.

We have the Holiday INN in plainview $54 for Saturday night and includes centerpieces sit down dinner cocktail hour a room for the night with breakfast and a bottle of campagne in the room I think it is a great deal and the food was excellent! Much more is included also.

$75 is about average I think. At least that is what we ran into. But I think if you keep looking you may find a little cheaper for a Friday night. Try Manor East and The Imperial Manor. I think we were quoted a little less then $75 for each of those places and they were both very nice.

also try the swan club...I think it is beautiful and very reasonably priced...

have you thought of having the wedding in March instead? I am in and we are saving a lot. You can try Swan Club, Chateau Briand, Floral Terrace.

Stewart Manor CC is about 75 for a Sat night--plus you get the whole place to yourself.
We were shocked at how much it costs to get married on LI so we decided to go with a Sat day wedding.
