I am trying to do the seating chart and have gotten tables from my FMIL...well, even though I said no more then 12, no less than 10 people at a table she give me about 3 tables of 9. So when I try to do some switching around with both sides of the family, my mother throws a hissy fit...she says- no its not fair, his mom got to pick her tables (I'm sorry are we five?) she says will do it. Well guess who is watching tv this very moment doing nothing, HER. I said this is bull$hit, the wedding is in less then 2 weeks, I need to give the florist my tables and nobody seems to be listening to me...you know what I hate, etiquette...just sit where I damn well tell you to sit and get over it. UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO annoyed.

I say you make the tables and THAT'S IT!!!
I know that is probably easier said than done, but FMIL and Mom can't BOTH have it 100% their way. It's your wedding!!!!!!

Make the tables yourself. If she can't make this a priority for you, then too bad for her. Do what you want so you can get on with things. Good luck!

I totally feel for you on this one. I know I will be in the same boat next March too Tell her you are doing them now- with or without her and if she wants a say in it- she has to do them now. If she doesn't I would just do them yourself and tell her she had her chance to have it her way.
