Could it be?

Could it be?

Hi girls. My DH and I are a little nervous about something. I went off the pill two months ago. Ortho-Tri-Cyclene. The first month after I went off, I got my period on the day after I would have gotten it if I stayed on. I figured my body didn't catch on yet that I stopped. Now this month, I haven't got anything yet. My sister and I are on the same schedule and she says today is the day I should get it if I stayed on the pill, however, I write down in my date book when I am due for it, and I had it as coming last Wednesday. Another thing, for over a week now I have seen light pink in the morning when I go to the bathroom, but nothing comes all day. When I was on the pill, light pink would come the day before maybe and then there it was.? If I was pregnant what signs would I have. I am bloated like I am due for it, and my boobs feel hard (sorry to be so graphic), but my poor DH is terrified. We have been careful. so whats up? Am I worrying for nothing or is my body finally adusting to me getting off the pill?

Re: Could it be?

Ive never taken the pill... Im on the pull and pray method... anyway. Sore nipples are a sign of being prego. ALSO a light pink... uhhh... well you know COULD be the embryo implanting. Its possible to bleed a little. Or your body could not be on schedule yet and its coming. When I was prego in the beginning I had cramps like my period was coming... it didnt and still hasnt 6 months after dd was born your best bet is take a HPT.
Good Luck!

I would not worry. My period was very erractic after I got off the pill in Aug. The first month I started about 2 days late, the next month about a week and half late, then 2 weeks late. Your body will re-regulate itself after you get off the pill. My husband and I just started trying in october and I am now 7 weeks pregnant. The first sign I had was my breast were very sore.

Congratulations! :) Yeah, I am trying not to worry. Mine are sore, but they are sore when my friend is coming, that doesn't help me. I think I am going to give it at least another week before I start really freaking out.

Congrats, once again! :)

You can scare yourself into thinking you are and feel all the symptoms when you are fine.
Don't worry!

I believe it takes some time for your period to become regular once you get off the pill. That's why they say not to start trying to get pregnant right after getting off the pill because your cycle is still trying to return to normal. Good luck and keep us posted!

Re: Could it be?

denise i know this answer!!!!

i went off same pill as you. got my period normally first time around - then 18 days late on the next one! nausea, sore boobies, no appetite, headaches, spotting...i took urine tests - negative. finally went for a blood test - negative. my period finally showed up - for only 3 days.

it takes a while to regulate. call your doctor.. mine suggested i use the Clear Plan Ovulation Detector. this way yo know when your cycle is back on track and you and your doc can figure out when are the risky (or right!) times to have sex. you might not ovulate normally for quite a while so you should use protection if you aren't TTC. The predictor will eventually show you when you are ovulating.

Don't worry! Nothing will make your period later than a worried mind!!!
