Someone at work is getting married at Oheka. The rumor going around is that she is paying $450 pp .
Do you think this could be right or is it just a rumor? The wedding is on a Sunday in July!

that sounds high, but maybe she's paying for her guests to stay there for the weekend...

yes. I believe there is a $5000 site fee and then $250 a person in addition to that. I think you have to guarantee 100 ppl.
ouch!

Depending on which month you marry in... the site fee can be up to $10,000!

Re: Could Oheka really be $450 pp?
I am getting married at Oheka in August and I can't really see how it is $450 p/p. The only way I can think that it is that much is that they are paying for rooms for people. The rooms are $250 per night. Even if she added every single extra I don't think it would be $450. I say rumor! :o)

i think 450 is entirely possible - i looked into getting married there. i don't know what season and day of the week she's planning on getting married but in the high season on a Saturday night the site fee quoted to me was 10,000, and then the price per person only STARTS at 250 (that is like, the bare minimum) and it goes WAY up from there.

yes it is possible I believe. I remember someone was going to get married and it was like 300 pp
Check out this site http://weddingsitesandservices.com/FacilityDetail.CFM/FSID/422/Show/Photo/RegionID/25/Sort/Name
it says the cost is 250-500 pp plus site fee

Re: Could Oheka really be $450 pp?
Holy Crap!! I just went to the website, look at this... This is Oheka's ultimate evening The evening includes:
Round-trip limousine service (within the five boroughs and Long Island) Exclusive use of The OHEKA Estate Seven-course gourmet menu custom designed for your evening White glove butler service Dom Perignon Champagne A string quartet One night stay in a deluxe suite Breakfast served to your room A Special gift from Tiffany's Private security
Price: The Ultimate Romantic Evening At The OHEKA Estate is $10,000.00 per couple inclusive
Granted that is a decent amount of stuff, but $10,000!!!! And you know the Tiffany gift is a key chain. Anyway if ONE night is $10,000 then I would imagine that it's at least $450 pp for a wedding. But I guess if you have the money it would be nice. But even if I did I don't know if I would feel right spending that much money on one day. But hey to each his own.

That sounds right if you are factoring in the rental fee which is about 8-10000 that time of year.

I'm also getting married at Oheka in May and I can't figure out how it would be $450 pp?!? I mean if they are factoring in the site fee, all the suites, and everything you could add-on the day of then maybe.....but from my experience the more your add on the more they work with you on pricing and extras....

Re: Could Oheka really be $450 pp?
I have recently been to oheka and got the price quote for a sunday in june in 2006... they were originally 260pp + 9500 site fee + 20% service charge +tax. Only one room included for the wedding couple for the night. The final quote they gave me was 57,000 Grand total (which means they went down to 250pp).
