I just did a delicate wash....and one of the shirts came out with what looks like bleach marks on it but NOTHING else looks like that. I had black clothes in there and jeans and nothing. Could it be that the shirt is just cheaply made or something??? ODD!!!

Did you last do a load with bleach? Sometimes it can stick around but I dont know how only one item would look like that then.

Did you rinse the washer after doing a load of bleach?? Otherwise it could be a cheap shirt...but usually that doesn't happen. Or, could anything have had bleach on it??

I almost never use bleach.... that is what is so odd. For my normal loads I just use detergent that is good for both colors and whites.... I don't think I have used bleach in months!!! STRANGE!

Hmm...that IS odd... Maybe try washing it one final time... lol Is it machine washable..? B/c if it was dry clean only that may happen..I worked in a D.C. for 4 years before I was of age! HAHA

That ussed to happen to me when FH did my laundry! i figured out what was going on though.. he would I guess wipe down the counter or kitchen table with one of those cloroz wipe things lysol carries them too and he would get bleach on his hands fm it without realizing and then when he did laundry he would touch a shirt of mine and ruin it the same way. It was strange that only one shirt had it and that's what made me think of this.. because one like 1 or 2 items would have it. After we figured it out he doesn't do that anymore. I dunno if that's what happened to you or not.. but it's a thought. sorry to hear about your shirt. it ***** when that happens.

Hmmm...maybe. I wore the shirt a few days ago so I don't remember.... it is an older shirt so that is why maybe I thought it was the shirt itself self destructing...but who knows. At least it wasn't something that I just bought or one of my faves!

You know something crazy? Two weeks ago one pair of my pants and a pair of my sisters got ruined with bleach marks but the rest of the darks stayed fine!!!!!!!!
My mom swares that it had to have splashed or something but i cant se ehow

The really screwy part is it doesn't happen immediately so you dont see it right away. It takes a bit to settle in and change the color. I figuered out what was happening (he did this quite a few times - i was beginning to think he was sabotaging me) because one shirt had his GIANT finger marks all over it.. there was no mistaking it... that was his giant hand!

Did you use any skin products with salicylic acid in it? That can cause clothes to bleach.

did you happen to use the kind of detergent that is bleach alternative 'keeps whites whiter and colors bright'?
I find with that kind if you dont follow the directions which are add the detergent to the running water and THEN add clothes. I get spots on my lighter colored stuff if FH forgets and just pour it on top of the clothes

that happened to me but I found the out FH left a chapstick in his pocket and it melted in the dryer only messed up one shirt though... of course it was mine!

That's happened to me before too...very random, but usually its bc it was dry clean only or just an older shirt where the ink started to fade and get blotchy!

This happens to me ALL the time! Did you use fabric softener? If you didn't dilute it with water when you put it in, it can stain. You can try washing (rubbing) it out while the garment is still wet, but once its dry, the stains will stay. HTH!
