did you have to glue your envelopes closed? if so, how did you avoid getting glue on the invites?
also, we can't print directly on our RSVP envelopes. how did you guys address yours? by hand? labels?

Re: couple invite questions
I have my invites but have not constructed them yet. I was planning on using a glue stick. I suggest you put the glue on the lower portion of the envelop instead of the top so that there is less of a chance that the clue will get on the actual invite.
You can also consider envelope seals. You can get them in bulk for cheap.
My RSVP envelopes are self addressed via the company. If you don't want to pay the extra money, You can either hand address, pay a calligrapher, try inkspun or use a label..there isn't a etiquette rule about RSVP envelopes is there?

Re: couple invite questions
I would suggest getting an envelope seal/sticker instead of glue because it might get messy.
You can also create matching address labels for the RSVPs labels

Re: couple invite questions
With regards to sealing the envelopes i just took a very handy dandy papertowel and dampened it, slid it across the glue on the envelope and voila! There were no wet marks left on anything (so long as you don't WET the papertowel).

Re: couple invite questions
I licked my envelopes, did it the old fashioned way. But, get this . . . . I mailed them out and then realized that I forgot the stamps on the response envelopes!!!!
Thank goodness I did pocketfolds and personalized response cards, and color printed envelopes with flowers, or else people might have noticed more!!
So far, most people I've apologized to have laughed and said 'who cares??' I was so mortified when I realized it . . . one hour after I mailed my invites.
If that's all that goes wrong, I'll be ecstatic!!!

Re: couple invite questions
Staples/ Office Depot sells a little jar of 'spit in a bottle'. It has just the smallest amount of adhesive- I used it for all my invites and it came out great!

Re: couple invite questions
To close them we slighlty dampened the corner of a sponge. It worked great.
I used my home printer to address the RSVP envelopes. I just set up a word document and printed right on them.
