Couple of questions about custom aisle runners...

Hi girls...

I searched on here to see who everyone had their gorgeous aisle runners made by and I found Aisle Runners by Lori (lorilis.com) to be by far the cheapest. They look pretty.

Anyway - they come in white or ivory but I've only seen pictures of white ones. My dress is ivory so should I get an ivory aisle runner? my dress isn't that real yellowy ivory - just slightly off white. I'm thinking I should play it safe and just get a white runner? Suggestions?

Also my other question is if I'm just doing a monogram with our wedding date under it...where should I have it placed on the runner? In the middle of the aisle or towards the back where I will walk in? I can't decide. I am leaning towards the middle...what did you all do?

Thanks girls!

I don't know about the white v. ivory, but a lot of girls wear ivory dresses and use the runners that the limo company provides, which I'm pretty sure are all white. So, I don't think you have to worry about 'clashing' or anything... just personal preference. Maybe if all of your colors are going to be ivory (programs, etc.) you can do ivory - or you can match it with how it will look with your chuch, but I don't think it has to necessarily match your dress color.

I'm not doing our monogram on the aisle runner because I'm not doing anything monogrammed in the church until we're officially married... then everything at the reception will be monogrammed when it's 'official'. But, I'm putting our initials on it, along with a quote and our names and date. This is the final draft of what ours will look like, done by Laurie at LA Blossom:

Make sure that your facility allows them (many Churches do not allow them due to liability of falling).

I had mine done by Lori (can't wait for my proofs!) - I had our names and wedding date placed about 6 feet from the top of the runner and then had our quote right under. We had a long quote though so it ended about halfway down the aisle.

BTW, Lori is fabulous! I highly recommend her!

ETA: go with the white runner

Perfect - thanks!!!

And Sarah - your proof looks great - will be a gorgeous runner!!!

My ceremony is at the RH so we are allowed to have a runner...will def. go with white - thanks!

Sarah cute idea about not doing a monogram until it's 'official' - my unity candle is already done and monogrammed though so I may as well do the runner too.

I'm not doing a quote though...just monogram and date. So where would you all put this? I think I like it in the middle? May look weird if that's all I'm having on it and it's at the front or back? Does middle sound best for just monogram and date?

Thanks ladies!!!
