Ok ladies, Past and future Brides... I need opinions on Couples Resorts Vs. Sandals resorts... Likes? and Dislikes? And Negril Vs. Ocho Rios Or Split the time?

Re: Couples Vs Sandals?
I have heard mixed reviews about both. But my FH's cousin went to Sandals in St Lucia and said if they hadn't gotten the Butler service they wouldn't have even known they were on their Honeymoon.

I'm biased but Couples all the way.
I can only vouche for Couples Swept Away (which is also in Negril), but it was such an amazing vacation and FH and I are planning on going back for our HM.
Some friends of ours had stayed in Ocho Rios one year and they liked it there as well. They said between the two they preferred Swept Away.
I love that it's a Couples only resort (no children running around screaming while you are trying to relax on the beach with your fruity beverage). And the people there are just so nice. I also feel it is a very affordable vacation since everything is paid for before you get there.

I was leaning towards the whole Sandals sell, and i think i just spent my whole day today (my boss is out) reading and researching couples, and OMG! The resorts seem to be amazing. The only thing that worries me is, are there younger people?? I notice alot of older couples posting on the couples site.

I went to Couples Swept Away this summer. It was great and there were a TON of honeymooners.
Good Luck!

Yeah there are a ton of younger couples that go there. When we went we made friends with a lot of couples who were on their honeymoon.

Ahh i am so torn on this Honeymoon process... I have been all over the globe with trying to choose. FH wants Jamaica, or St. Lucia. And for the room I want in St. Lucia for the amount of days we want to go for is just nuts. Jamaica is more reasonable on either resort, but which one too chooose!!

Re: Couples Vs Sandals?
I'm doing Sandals in March but my boss's goddaughter said that when her and her husband went to Couples Swept Away, it was the best vacation they've ever been on, period.
We just booked couples swept away - haven't been to either but so far I've heard better things bout couples...

Re: Couples Vs Sandals?
We just did 13 days in Sandals Grande Antigua back in the end of August. Mind you, we did not have a room w/ a butler - but we STILL felt like we were on our HM...it was amazing!
