Couture Bridal Salons

Couture Bridal Salons

I'm new and should have done a search but didn't see a place to search the chat board. I'm from NJ and wish we had such a successful board for brides to help each other.

This weekend I visited Vera, Bridal Reflections, Burgdoff., and Pronovia in Manhattan. I loved the staff at all of these salons. I just found the selections were limited. I found a dress by Ramona Kevez that was almost perfect. It was almost too elaborate but I could deal with that. It's just when bustled the whole effect of the dress was lost and I looked kind of short. The people at Bridal Reflections were just great. Also, the gals at VW were awesome.

I didn't actually see the selection at Pronovia but the fashion show didn't have anything that fit my idea of what I want.

Can anyone suggest other places to try?

I tend to like European designers but you can't get these designers in the USA.

If anyone knows Lorenzo Caprile, that is the kind of look I want. Old World with a touch of modern style.

Sorry for how long this is.

Not sure if you are interested. But maybe you can try Bridal Town in Pennsylvania. They have a website you can check for directions. I bought my dress from there and loved it. If you decide to go, make your appointment with Sandy. She is a doll!!

I would check Mark IngramBridal Atelier, and Kleinfeld, which is also in NYC.

Monique Lhuillier has some gowns right now that have a lot of textured skirts. Definitely worth checking out.
Both places I suggested have her stuff.

Good luck nad have fun!

Check out Designer Loft and Adrienne's in NYC, both small boutique like stores, but great staff and they may have some of the dresses you described!

Try out Galit Couture!!! I got my dress from there. The photos on their website are old. She has a new collection. So you would have to go and see for your self. Her dressed are unbelievable!!!

I agree... my dress is st. pucchi and has a lot of texture. Al of St. Pucchi's dresses are unique and are very elaborate. I bought mine at Bridal Reflections in NYC. They may have different ones in their Long Island locations
