We saw our mock CP the other day and I thought it looked good but my FI did not like the hydrangea at the top of the vase. I thought it was a good idea because it gives the CP more fullness and draws your eye in. Without them, in a dark room, I thought you would barely see the CP. Please tell me what you honestly think by answering the poll.
BTW- the stems will not be seen in the vase on the day of, they will be hidden in a container at the top of the vase and there will be floating orchids in the vase. Also, there will be rose petals and tea lights at the base of the vase.
I personally have to say I agree with him. I've seen gorgeous looking ones with the hydrangea there and you still notice them just fine. The tea lights and the rose petals will draw the eyes to the center, and the room won't be so dark like at night when branches disappear. Other than the hydrangea I love it...i'm thinking about going with something like this

I'm not sure......maybe it is the hydrangeas that don't allow it to look as pretty...not so sure. Sorry I'm not much help.

the problem is the reception is at night and the room the reception is very dark as they like to let the lights from the NYC skyline show through the windows. also, they don't have CP spotlights in our place so it would just be the regular dim lighting in the room. the florist said he was doing alot of these in weddings recently. i don't know, i see FI point as it looks different from the feel of the flowring branches, but i also see the point of the florist in drawing the eye in.

I'm doing a similar centerpiece, and one florsit showed me a picture of tall flowering branches with votives hanging in them. It was beautiful. That might help them to stand out more in the dark room.

I actually like your CP as is. I've seen a few them at several different weddings and they looked so elegant.

I like it alot and think it's pretty but when I look at the picture it looks like somethings missing. It needs a little something but I don't know what. Hanging candles, more flowers soemthing.

yeah, were going to tell the florist to add more of the flowering branches to make it more full on top. I still don't know about the hydrangea though... lose it and put a different flower in it or keep it???????

I think you could keep the hydrangea and maybe add more of something to the top too. It does look like its missing something, although its really pretty. has a really elegant feel too it, but it needs a little something more added to it.
if you want to cut the hydrandea out, add more orchids or maybe casalanca lilies?
