When you did your wedding announcement, how did you include your CPA in there?

Re: CPA's
I didn't. It's not considered a professional title, like PHD, Dr., Judge, etc.

Re: CPA's
I'm not a CPA, but I am a lawyer. Professional titles like CPA, Esquire, etc. aren't normally used for social announcements.

What if it's just a newspaper that our RH is creating? It's not going into a real newspaper. Could we do it then? He's so excited to include it.

Re: CPA's
i guess you could do whatever you want. but i think cpa is pretty much just used on your resume, website, business card. it doesn't carry over into social circles.
even if it's on your business card, it might just be a separate line below your name, not an addendum to your name.
eta - depending on the forum, it can be used as an addendum. for example, on my resume i do write CPA at the end of my name just to stand out a bit from the crowd. the CPA certification would typically be included in the certifications section of the resume, so it's not necessary to have it as an addendum to your name. many cpa's just have it as a separate line below their name:
john jones certified public accountant 123 main street new york, ny

I agree you can do whatever you want... but it may not come off well. I think our guests would find it really strange if we put our professional titles after our names on something wedding-related.
But hey, if he really wants it, go for it. It's your wedding. What matters is what you think.

I don't put 'Esq.' after my name even on my business cards!

I didn't mean that we would put Michael Smith, CPA.... I wanted to know when you write about your schooling, do you write it there?

Re: CPA's
OOOOOHHHHH! I get it now! Sorry!!
I have to go see if I have a copy of our newspaper announcement. Ours just said what we do at some point. It said 'Todd is a XXXX graduate of ____ HS and a XXXX graduate of _____ University. He is currently a mechanical engineer for (FIRM) in New York City. Kara is a XXXX graduate of YYYYY, a XXXX Graduate of the University of YYYYY, and a XXXX graduate of YYYY School of Law. She is an attorney for (FIRM) in New York City.'
Something much nicer sounding than that, but it was included.
Sorry for the confusion!
