craft idea

IM taking small boxes and putting a rose on top of the box...and will put the name and table # of the guest and fill the boxes with red snow caps ( the picture is the box without the rose on top and will be white with a thin red ribbon around it ) these will replace the place cards

i was also thinking of making a million little chocolate red hearts to place on the saucers when coffee and tea is served.

A live rose or a fake rose? (I'm just trying to picture it) It seems like a great idea - aren't you ambitious!

I saw this done in a magazine. But they had their initials made in chocolate. It was really cute and I was thinking of doing it myself. Good luck, it sounds great!!

Re: craft idea

Speaking of boxes, does anyone know where i can get little white boxes just big enough to fit the traditional 3 or 5 jordan almonds? My idea is to put the almonds in the box and then put a monogram seal on the top and put one at each place setting...

The reason why I want to do this is to still have the almonds, but just not attached to the favor.....

Do you think 2 x 2 should be good...they call it 'Bon Bon' so I am assuming it means it is good for candy!!!!

Next question-Can I get round labels from Staples..like ones that are similar to the little ones used for price tags, but bigger, in order to make a monogram seal for the top of the box?

I just bought the round labels this morning from Office Depot for work so I am sure you can get them at Staples.

2x2 might be a little big - is there anything smaller? Otherwise you could always fill the box with tulle and then but the almonds in it to prevent them from shaking around too much.

As far as the labels - I would think that Staples should definitely have them. Otherwise you could just get regular sheets of the white adhesive...print out the monogram and cut with a circle punch. But I'm sure they have them already.

ETA: I just saw that 2x2 is the smallest - I think it'll be fine...just consider some kind of filler like the tulle.
