We went looking and FH doesn't look good w/ all white tie/vest. He liked the platinum the best (me too).
For the guys- we couldn't really get an EXACT match for the cranberry dresses in taffeta - so they had a muted gold-ish color (a warm color) that I thought would look great for the guys.
Question: do you think that will be weird looking - platinum and a goldish color side by side?

I don't think the gold and platinum would look good together, but it's hard to visualize. can you go back to the store and look at them side by side?

I had my girls in cranberry and DH wore a black vest and tie and the GM wore a dark red and black checked vest and black tie. There are pictures on the Brides Review if you do a search.

I'm having the same issue. JMHO, I think if the BM's are wearing cranberry gowns, cranberry flowers and the GM wear cranberry vests, there would be way too much red in the pics.
So I think we are having the GM in platinum/silver, and my FH in a black or white vest.
The GM can do cranberry ties.
I would have you FH and a GM try on the gold & platinum vest together so you can see side by side.

Groom could always wear the traditional black vest and tie while your groomsmen wear plantinum or have groomsmen wear traditional black and groom can wear the platinum.
