changed my mind about my long story and Novel I wrote!
let's just say I wanna book my RH that we feel in love with but this waiting by the phone game sucks!!

I was wondering what happened with your appt on Friday!! FM me your budget & I will try to help you find places within your budget. I totally get that you loove this place however, they should be doing everything to try & get you to book! Ive literally had champagne brought to me, pastries, fruit etc to try & get me to book. Ive also had places willing to negotiate on some things. I am not saying to completely write this place off however, I do think that you should look at some more places to compare the level of service to which you should be receiving as a POSSIBLE bride. On top that, *** if they do this to you the whole planning process?? You do not & will not (in the future) need any more stress!

I know! but the one owner was great! and so was the sales men I dealt with! I was also told by other brides that most places don't throw in to many things and they did already offer to throw in a choc fountain! our something of equal value! I'm also going with an all inclusive place so someone suggested they might not be able to do too much nc they have to pay all the vendors! maybe I. asked for too much!?!? ill c what happens tomorrow bc I really really don't want another place! ive looked atu 30+ places NOTHING compared!I mean if they can't do more then choc fountain that's fine I'll still book but I just wanna know!!

Trust me the chocolate fountain is like nothing to them with the amount of money you make. I negotiate everything lol. I used to work in purchasing so its an old skill that comes in handy. I'd wait til tomorrow & see if they contact you. When you do speak with them tell them that you were really excited to book but feel uneasy about the fact that no one got back to u for x amt of days. See what their reasoning is & if that is ok with you then I'd say u would like to discuss the terms of what the one owner told you & go over how much per plate, chocolate fountain etc. don't ever feel like you have asked for too much! They deal with people all the time. The worst they can say is no. Let me know what happens & if you want anymore tips :) good luck!!

I'm the same way! my stomach is on knots! I'm freaking out! fh loved this place to so he's telling me to stay positive! I'm trying but 5pm can not come soon enough!

Hang in there. Dont seem too eager. Remember they want YOUR business not vice versa! Brides like us keep them in business. Now, im not saying be a demanding bridezilla but if they are not capable of returning your phone call then they do not deserve to hold you wedding.

if they can't do anything more for us price wise or adding stuff that's fine just say that! we will still book! but a phone call would be great# at least the one girl had the common sense to call me back! they will def hear about that but I don't need anything else! u know! I got the owner's cell from a co worker that had her engagement party there I haven't called yet bc I didn't want to be too pushy, skills I just call even though she said she will call me tonight at 5?

Exactly!!!

I know that no RH is perfect, but not returning calls would make me feel like they don't want my business. Don't be afraid to question them and if you don't like what they say don't be afraid to walk.

There are more than enough other places that will bend over backwards to have your business on Long island and you and FH would find a place you love and would provide the level of service that fills you with confidence that your wedding is in good hands.

I feel so much better he called!!
he said by the time he was done Friday it was 8pm and he didn't want to call me that late then he didn't get to meet with the guy I spoke to tillMon and he was off yesterday!
I can get another good item or dessert and they are charging me sun rate for a Fri wedding!

Oh and before you book..I went to an all inclusive place & it was just too far for my New Jersey quests but after I left I thought of a couple of things that you may want to ask. This place was a set price for 150 people. What is it per person over 150? Then with vendors, find out EXACTLY what is included. For example this place I visited included CPs but not bouquets & you can only use one florist that they offered so how much do this one place charge for bouquets? Things like that you may want to consider prior to leaving a deposit.

thanks for the advice but I did all that already!
meet with salesmen 2x so I have an exact price quote $60 for everyone over.
I emailed ask the vendors ppersonally, I wanted to hear from them what I got not the RH telling me the vendors will give me stuff!
and I. only get 10 cp & I don't have to u thier florist!
the poor salesmen was with me for. an hour abd a half the 2nd time just answering all these questions!
