I got married on a holiday weekend -President's Day - when a lot of people with children (and those who are teachers) travel. I sent save the dates and those people who had planned to go away, delayed their trip by one day to be able to attend.

I got married Columbus Day weekend waaay out east. Mostly every invited guest sent in an RSVP with the expected response.

I had more no's than expected, but it wasn't because its was a holiday weekend (memorial day) its because DH's family is a bunch of azzes and couldn't be bothered coming to the wedding. We actually had it on a 3-day weekend tom make it easier for them since they are all OOT and thought they could make a mini-vacation out of it.
