Re: crate and barrel furniture
They really have two lines: an inexpensive, IKEA like line and a more expensive line.
I have ordered a bunch from the more expensive line. I have a bench, a desk, a buffet, and a bookcase. I am happy with the quality and the delivery. Actually, those pieces are probably my favorites in the house. With the exception of the desk which was $1400, I thought the prices were all pretty good. I actually have four pieces of art too from them.

I got my coffee table and end tables there recently. Walked out of the store with it in our hands. So delivery was no problem. However, i have a cat and he jumps on things which has led to a few scratches already on the table. But we paid like $700 for everything so it is worth it and they look great!

Re: crate and barrel furniture
We got a sleeper couch, loveseat and chair and ottoman from C&B. We paid big bucks though (about $4000 for all on sale)! However, they have varying degrees of ranking on their furnitures, mostly probably due to fabrics. They range from like A to G or H or something like that. We got something that was H rated, which I believe was at the top of the line. It's always you get what you pay for.

Re: crate and barrel furniture
I ordered 2 bookshelves, wall mirror, a side table and a bar thing from them. Everything was nice. I had an issue with the bar being on back order and took awhile to get - more than they promised but in the end it worked out. At first they held my entire order but after some arguing I got them to release eveyrthing that was in and waive shipping on the bar. Otherwise my entire order would have been held for over three months just for the bar.

you are talking about CB right - i think i saw that website - its like dorm stuff. the couch we are looking at is from the main site. i also like a kitchen dining set. all of it is so damn cute! i just dont want to go crazy ordering lots of things there if the furniture is garbage but from everytones reviews it looks like so far so good

Re: crate and barrel furniture
The furniture is a hundred times better than PB. I would not hesitate to buy anything from CB. Why don't you go to the store in Manhasset and check it out. They have a big showroom.

Re: crate and barrel furniture
yea im probably going to go to the westchester mall. since i live in ct i tihnk that is the closest. im happy you think the furniture quality is better than pottery barn, b/c we were very close to getting everything at PB but it looks like crate and barrel has a better reputation

We have both C&B and PB furniture and I like all that we have. I think that the PB stuff we have is better quality though.
