Craving Something Sweet...

Craving Something Sweet...

I try and eat low-carb most of the time, but I absolutly love sweets (ice cream, cakes, and cookies). I've tried many of those low-carb desserts, but they all have some sort of chemical sugar subsititute in them. I find that many of these alternatives leave my stomach very messed up. Anyone have any suggesstions on something that I can have for dessert that doesn't have any of these fake sugars in them?

When I was doing Atkins, I would have strawberries with whipped cream- I found some that was low-carb, and strawberries are low-carb too.

I still allow myself sweets every once and a while. I know they're bad, but I hate depriving myself.

those artificial sweetners can't be digested completly so they can give you alot of gas sometimes!

Why don't you try some fruit salad or sorbet?

Not sure about the low-carb diet restrictions, but putting dates or grapes in the freezer make them very sweet.

Also, you can get frozen berries and blend them with a little orange juice and have a quick, fresh sorbet.

Have a few m&m's....I hate to say it but I have some almost everyday!

Also, they sell boxes of 100 calorie packets of like Chips Ohoy crisps (and other things)....they are really good and only about 3 grams of fat.

I love watermelon as a snack.

Trader Joe's has these chocolate Cat Cookies...they are really yummy and low in fat and calories.
