crazy couple of days

So I've been MIA for a while for a few reasons....
First my shower was Sunday! My mom and maid and matron of honor and bridal party did such a good job!!! We played a fun game, what would your groom say. Kat Thurs while I was sitting home waiting patiently for him to finish 'an estimate for a new job for work' he was at my maid of honor house answering questions. For all the questions I got wrong I had to chew a piece of gum lol under the pressure of being in front of people on the spot like that I just went blank with a few answers that I did know but forgot. But I also didn't know the answer.to some at all....but I didn't do that bad lol I got half right! But it was fun! My poor mother had such a hard time with my shower bc people have her a hard time for doing it this early.....my moh didn't live in ny she loves in Florida so my mom was trying to make sure my best friend was here!! Then people bitched to.both her and me alt my honeymoon registry.....I got several gifts I.didn't register for bc people didn't like the idea of buying for the honeymoon....but it wasn't my mother's choice it was ours....whatever it's over with! My shower was allot of fun but I was also handily a very bad visit from my friend this month that I was really sick to my stomach so it was kind of bitter sweet! It was very hard also to celebrate and see all the hand made decorations my mom did that would have been fine by my mom and grandma. :( my grandpa was there for a few mins to give my 3 of her pins as my something old for my brooch bouquet! Which leads me into my very emotional day yesterday.....yesterday was my grandma's one year anniversary. I can't believe she has left us for a year now. Miss her so much every single day! She is supposed to be here helping with all my wedding stuff :( I know she is with me in spirt!!
Happier not we picked out bm dresses Monday!! We went with 3 Jordan lace dresses. All teal (including the lace) with ivory underneath! Went to Manhattan yesterday with my uncle and found material for him to make my sash!! It has beena busy, fun exciting and remotional couple of days!!

I envy you having the shower over with lol...I get nervous about stuff like that. Im glad you had a nice shower and I have learned you cant please everyone, everything can be perfect and people will complain so no reason they had to ***** to your mom.I understand my grandma will be missed,she passed 2 years ago but yes she wil be there is spirit!! congrats on the BM dresses :)

Believe I or not I had a friend that criticized me for having donation to American society for our party favor then a actual favor.I almost fell to the floor...so annoying that if no one asked an opinion don't give it!!

Yay! Glad your shower went well! Were you surprised or did you know it was happening that weekend? I was at a shower a few weeks ago and the bride played the gum game too! I had never seen it before that!

Don't listen to people's comments, everyone has their own opinions but you just have to do what makes you happy!

Glad you had a great day! I'm sorry about your Grandma, time really does fly. August 10th will be 6 months since my Grandma passed and it is still just as hard. It makes this time somewhat bittersweet, but know that she is with you still, just in a different way than before . On a lighter note, congratulations on the BM dresses!
