Crazy Day at the Spa!

Okay I have not had a Brazilian wax since the wedding and since it isnt 1972 anymore I figured I should go take care of that. So, since we have been scrimping and saving I decided to treat myself to a mini spa day. After work, I got an 'eyebrow shaping', a Brazilian wax, a manicure and a ten minute massage. I LOVE this spa - and I always go and have great experiences.

First, the eyebrows. She tells me they are going to be a little thin because she wants to put shape in them. I say okay. Yes i have ONE eyebrow hair that stretches across in a very pretty arch. Awesome. I go home and look at my mom and say 'can you notice. . . ' and she says'OHMIGOD WHERE ARE YOUR EYEBROWS' So tomorrow I have to go buy an eyebrow pencil and figure out how to use it.

Now, the brazilian - for some reason it hurt worse than ever and I actually grabbed her hand and REALLY scared her and said 'STOP!' like what was she going to do? The wax was already on there! I have NO IDEA why it hurt so much, I can usually handle it!

Then, I get a regular manicure. THat is fine.

And lastly, the best part - the massage. It is right in the mani/pedi room on one of those chairs that you kneel on and put your face in the circle.

So at first she puts oil in her hands and puts them down the back of my shirt - fine, great, wonderful.

Then she puts more oil on her hands and STICKS HER HANDS DOWN THE BACK OF MY PANTS and massages my BUTT in front of the whole room!

i THINK that my whole butt was hanging out

OMG WHAT THE HECK!!!! it was mortifying



so that was my relaxing spa day. At least i came home and DH had cooked dinner!!!

Oh Lordie...I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I've never had brazilian wax done and I don't think I ever will (not tolerance for pain) but I sympathize with you. I hope she didn't ruin your clothes with the oils.

Hopefully your next experience will be better.

the place is great and i love going there - i just had some bad luck today i guess LOL

Geeze.........talk about a non-relaxing day at the spa...hehe.

seriously, i highly recommend it . . . LOL maybe not the ten minute massage though even it felt great

ask for Sivan - she is the BEST with the wax. . .

LOL.. you made me laugh I cant believe she put her greasy hands down your pants!! And you poor thing about those eye brows!!! Maybe that's God's way of telling you not to go to the spa anymore and to continue saving money!

for your eyebrows...REVLON makes a great eyebrow pencil!! One side is pencil and the other side is almost like mascara for your brows...it is phenomenal!!!!!!! It was B1G1F recently at Rite Aid...dunno if it still is but it's great!

thanks! am definitely hitting up rite aid after work bc this morning i tried to stretch out the one eyebrow hair but it doesnt work bc my eyebrows are kind of 'curly' and they dont follow the arch, so that makes it even worse!!!

she wants me to go back every two weeks so she can keep shaping them but who can afford $18 for eyebrows. . . i wanted to this ONCE and then just clean them up at my regular $6 place or even myself!

One thing though, i was SOCLOSE to getting them done there about two days before my wedding. . . my eyebrows were terrible, she was doing my Brazilian and she begged me to let her do them. . . THANK GOD! I lied and told her i wanted to do them myself but i went to my cheapie place and they cleaned them up just fine. Luckily, i have nothing really big coming up any time soon and my eyebrows grow pretty fast! ARGH!
