Crazy Dress Places?!

Crazy Dress Places?!

Has anyone actually gone to and had a good experience at one of those crazy run-for-your-dress events?

If you did, where did you go? I'm looking to save money on the gown (plus sized) and a family friend mentioned this bargain store in NJ but I am hesistant to do that! They seem like everyone has to run and find a dress on their own! I definitely need help from a consultant because I have no idea what will look good on me!

What have all of you done?

Thanks ladies!!

I am also trying to save as much money as possible on the wedding dress since its not that important to me. I am going to Davids Bridal in 2 weeks and hopefully I will find something.

I don't think I could ever do the crazy dress places because its like a circus.

You can also go to trunk shows/blowout sales to help keep costs down.

i did not do it but considered going to the kleinfeld sample sale (where you wait on line outside for hours) but i ended up finding a maggie for $1000 that i love.
If you do decide to try one of them i would suggest you know exactly the style/cut you want - otherwise it would be a nightmare!

i would suggest having a very clear idea about what you want before going to one of those events because they can be crazy. know what youre looking for. so i would first go to a regular place just to try stuff on good luck!!

Not sure where you live but after that Filenes basement one in the city, i called the Filenes in westbury on Merrick rd, not far from TGI Fridays and i think he said they were having one in a few months... Don't remember but def know what youre looking for ahead of time.
