Since there are always posts about makeup artists and I am looking for one anyway, I have created a makeup artist spreadsheet. However, more than half of them are from the city, so I would like to add more from Long Island. Any one have suggestions?
This way, whenever people are looking for a makeup artist, someone can just send them the spreadsheet and everyone is happy
So far I have about 44 people, but I would say at least 30 of them are from NYC, Any Long Island suggestions?
Will take NYC also of course

44!!! If I had to sort through that many I'd have gone crazy! I think its better to only have a few trials!

lol, no I would never do that many trials, I got a list from someone on the WC of people she contacted, but they are all NYC, so I just made it into a spreadsheet and added people I found online from Long Island. It will just be easier this way to call artists, see if they have my date open and narrow it down based on that and prices.
lol, can you imagine 44 trials??? if they were all free....that would be another story, then I might consider it!

Marie from Marie Alexa cosmetics. She has her own line of makeup and came to my house for my wedding. She was fantastic! Her prices were great too. I got sooooo many compliments on my makeup!

I didn't mean 44 trials - I meant even just sorting through the list - I think its too much even to look through. Anyone on here asking about make-up artists will get 4 or 5 good recommendations and IMO that is plenty.

As for the overburden of information... I agree it is a lot, but the list wasn't by choice, a lot of people were already booked for my date since its popular and if they weren't booked, there was something else like they were moving, or if from the city, charged to go to Long Island, etc. So, the spreadsheet is necessary. The problem with only 4 or 5 recommendations, is especailly on this site, they book fast (like the ones I called) and the recommendations here get repeated a lot. This way other brides have a whole bunch of people to choose from rather than 5.
