We have a lot of photos from our honeymoon, and I'd like to create a video of them set to music. Is there a computer program that I can get in order to do this? or maybe a website to download the program from? or do you know anyone who can do this for me (and won't charge an arm and a leg)?

I know that FH makes dvd slideshows of photos with imovie, but that is a mac only program...I will see if I can find out what the PC program is!

If you have a fairly new computer with Windows Vista, there's a program called DVD maker or something that may have come with it. You can set the photos music too. FH made me a montage of our trip to Colorado and for our anniversary did one with all the photos of us set to our wedding song. It doesn't let you do fancy stuff but it comes out really nicely.

there's also a Windows Movie Maker which will take your pics and you can add music. I think it lets you do more things like transition betw photos and add movement, like zoom in or out. It came with my PC which is a Vista. If you have this or maybe can download it from microsoft, you would then use the DVD Maker to convert from PC type files and make you a dvd you could play on your dvd player. If you only want it to run on your PC then you wouldn't need DVD Maker.
There's another pgm called Muvee Maker which was also on my PC which gives you a basic edition to do 30 photos and if you want to do more you need to upgrade and buy the premium version. but look on your pc for these you may have them already.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 has a slideshow program. It's a pain in the butt to use, though. If you just want to stick the photos in and press play, it's fine. But if you are trying to time certain photos to match certian lyrics in a song, it's a pain because you have to go back to the very beginning of the song each time to check...there is no fast fwd. I use this slideshow program called 'Memories on TV'. It's not free, though.

You have to check out www.Animoto.com It's really a great site! you upload your pics and it creates a dvd for you with transitions and your own music. I believe you purchase the dvd for $20!
