Two months ago I redeemed all my credit card points for 2 free tickets for two days to Universal and Islands of Adventure. We booked our anniversary trip to FL for Nov. 1st to use the tickets. Yesterday I still had not received the tickets and I called (they said they should arrive in 3-4 weeks, and that was 2 mos. ago). They said the tickets are back ordered and should be sent out Nov. 8th...uhhhh I'll be back in NY by then, the tickets will do me no good!
It's so unbelievable and I've spent 3 hours on the phone with them being given the runaround...At one point being hung up on when one woman screamed at me to give up, there's no way I'm getting my tickets. It just boggles the mind how unbelievable this is. We booked a trip around these tickets, and no one called to tell me they were back ordered and they I wouldn't be getting them.

Yelled and hung up on you? Excuse me? 3 WORDS: BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!
3 more words: 'Shame on You' from TV. I guarantee if you tell one of these type places what happened and expose them publicly, you'll get more than you bargained for in the first place.

Contact the attorney general's office. They will investigate them and a formal complaint can be filed. Also, you can sue them in small claims for the amount you will pay to actually go on the trip because your tickets were not sent in a timely manner. Read the fine print on your redemption contract. If you don't have one try to get one from them.

Thanks! I'm going to try that! I think they might be interested in how the credit card company has ruined my first anniversary trip!

Aww thanks, I would really appreciate that! Chase Universal. Chase parent company, but the specific card is the one with the Universal rewards.

OK.
So I called Adam, and he was disgusted by what happened, ESPECIALLY by the woman who yelled at you. He says your BEST course of action is to mail a formal complaint in, and it will get seen by an executive who can and will make it right.
He's going to get me an address for you to use after lunch.
