Re: Credit scores??
You can go to myfico.com and they have a great deal of info. I believe anything over 750 is considered excellent and gets the best rates.

Re: Credit scores??
all lenders look at it differently.
My advice is to get your credit report for yourself and look at it - make sure there are no mistakes (which happen often) before applying for a loan.

DH and I are both over 750 (I am over 800!) and we're not feeling the 'love' from the banks! we're getting quoted the same rates everyone gets quoted!

I think you're getting quoted lower than us D. We are in the 6.25-6.5% range. I bet you're lower.
That's excellent credit...you could probably even find the best loan online at one of those sites that compares rates. I would FM DJPill or look online at sites like eLoan.com and Bankrate.com

Re: Credit scores??
I asked my hubby about this- and he said that anything over 700 in great and the rates don't change much for 750, 800, etc
620 is considered fair
and anything below that- not so good

Re: Credit scores??
Our combined credit scores is about 700. We got a quote for 6.25 no points. That's on a 10/1 interest only. The 10/1 principal and interest is the same rate right now. The 30 year conforming is 6.375.

anything above 700 is excelent... the avg is 650 range or so...
all banks have different ways of looking at credit. When 1 bank may reject you, another will take you with open arms.

I'm letting my DH handle this, or I'll never hear the end of it
besides, he has more people close to him who are either in the biz or are into real estate.

Re: Credit scores??
730 is usually considered 'optimal credit'. Anything above that you won't get much of a discount on the interest rate.
