My family is going away for the weekend and I was going to sleep home alone - no biggie. But then my mom ran into one of our neighbors this morning who told her a registered sex offender just moved in ACROSS THE STREET from us!! We even checked online to verify it, so needless to say I'll be spending the weekend at FH's house, which I'm not terribly thrilled about (he lives with his parents still) but it's better than being alone at mine

um wow thanks! thats so f-in scary..i didn't even know but literally the apartment across from me (that we just MOVED OUT OF THANK GOD) was a rape offender! omg! FH will bug if i tell him that

familywatchdog.us - be warned, its really creepy and kind of unsettling. you put in your address and all the sex offenders in your area come up - pictures, names, address and their offense(s)
my MOH and i did this one day and turns out - THERES ONE IN HER APT BUILDING. scariest part was - she lives in forest hills in a bldg that is right across the st from the bldg i used to live in. one day this guy approached me while i was sitting on a bench in our courtyard reading and to make a long story short, made me really uncomfortable so i got up and walked (quickly) away from him. he followed, but not exactly chasing after me and so that was that. when my MOH and i looked at this website together and the picture of the sex offender that lives in her bldg came up, IT WAS THE SAME GUY that had approached me. i was petrified. his address came up as 1010 hazen st - which is a facility at riker's island - but now he is back in her bldg. honestly, i dont know what i would do. i was shook up enough that something terrible could have happened to me, and she has to live in the same bldg as this guy. scary.
