ug. i HATE that road!
last time we were on it DH put the car in nuetral and was pretending it stalled or whatever. i was FREAKING out!

my grandma worked as a nurse in Central Islip Psychiatric.
she used to bring me there and leave me in the room with the 'good ones'. Thanks to that, i now have a fear of mentally retarded people.

she told me stories. VERY scary. she used to haev to bring bad patients in the tunnels to isolated rooms. she used to haev to put sstraight jackets on them (she got stabbed with a fork by one). the creepiest is that she had to assist in LABOTOMIES!!!!!

i feel they totally brainwashed their employees. when we were talking abotu the labotomies she didnt see anythign wrong! she ws like 'we HAD to' and all this.....!!!!

eta: she used to work the graveyard shift which was creepy too.

did you know theres a cemetary there?

I grew up in Kings Park. I'm one of those people who loves to get scared. As teenagers we would hang out on the hospital grounds all the time. We'd open manholes and hop into the tunnels...we'd find open doors in the main buildings and get into the stairways...and we'd go into the abandon houses surrounding the main buildings that housed the doctors and other hospital workers.

Looking back, I know these were very foolish things for my friends and I to be doing. We were naive enough to not think seriously about who or what could've been hiding in those places...and even saw a homeless person lying at the bottom of some basement stairs in one of the houses.

That being said, I still look back on those as fun times. We also used to hang out at Mary's Grave and other creepy LI places, so its really cool to check out the websites!

WOW!!! which one is your mom?

I am such a wimp I get so scared but it doesn't stop from looking. The ***** House in Massapequa my friend's older sister used to take us by there to scare us anyway, there was a hearse in front of the house on the lawn the house is fenced in with an iron fence. They used say there were dead cats and dogs found on the sidewalk in front of the house. We also used to go to Sweet Hollow Road. I used to have the street sign I don't know what I did with it . My friends used to hang out in the cemetery I would sit in the car scared
sh!t.

I tried emailing the webmaster of that site, 'cause I really want to know where that pic came from, and if more exist --- it says the domain name is illegal.
