Valerie,-Wow, it's a small world. What high school did you go to? I went to Holy Trinity. I was really impressed with Crest Hollow. Both me and my FH have never been there for an event, so it's new to us. We are having our recption in the Emerald room. Which room did you have it in?Take care,
Debbie...

I'm having my reception in the starlight room. Is anyone opting to have the outdoor cocktail hour, if so, what are you doing for entertainment? Also, has anyone ever tried the cake they provide, I don't know if I should use what they provide or go with an external vendor..

Re: Crest Hollow...
HI I'm a Crest Hollow Bride!May 14, 2005 in the Plaza Room!
I opted for the outside cocktail hour...I'm not going to worry about entertainment...since they don't allow much...I figure...my guests are loud enough and will prob overpower any soft music playing...
As for the cakes....a friend of mine got married there a few years ago and told everything from the cocktail hour to the cake and venetian is AMAZING!@! I remember I loved everything!!! But they did exactly as she requested!

Re: Crest Hollow...
Toured CH on Sun with fiance, and two moms. Its is gorgeous but we were floored when we got the price quotes for Nov 2005.....so much less then we expected for a place so elegant!!!!!We would love to book right away but are worried and wary about hidden fees!
We are thinking about sun nite in nov and Jeff (banquest manager) said it would be about 89.00 per person.
What do you all make of this? Are the prices for real? Did anyone have hidden costs (cake cutting fees etc?)

Re: Crest Hollow...
I'm getting married July 29, 2005 in the Starlite room. I took the outside cocktail hour and I don't think I'm going to worry about entertainment. It's only an hour and half my guests will be more interested in the food. The hall made me feel very confident that they would handle everything on the day of the wedding. I really hope it doesn't rain because they weren't able to tell me what room the cocktail hour would be in if it rained.I'm currently calling the vendors on the list. I just booked photography/video. Have you met with anyone on the lists yet?

Hello Ladies,I'm new to this site, but I noticed the subject 'Crest Hollow' and just had to respond!
I'm getting married there on July 9, 2005 (Plaza Room) and I'm so excited about this place! I think it's so beautiful. FI and I fell in love with it the minute we stepped into the facility. I've heard lots of great things about the ambiance, food, decor and the staff. Crossing my fingers that all the reviews are accurate!!
Please follow up with anymore exciting CHCC news and reviews!!
Good Luck to all you ladies!!

Re: Crest Hollow...
Hi! I'm getting married there on a Sunday in Sept 2005! I also have the starlight room! I have the outdoor cocktail hour as well.. Didn't really think about entertainment. Figure people can just chat and wont really notice music. They don't allowed piped in music so if you want to get music, you'll need to hire a harpist or people to play the violin or something like that. For those of you that have been to weddings at Crest Hollow, what did you think of the waiters service during the meal? I read a review that said some of them were rude? I was a bit concerned about this point. It wasn't the first review I read that mentioned something like this...
So far, my banquet manager has been awesome. She really made us feel like Crest Hollow would take care of us.
For those of you in the Starlight room or have been married in that room, does anyone have pictures of it decorated? What type of flowers are you guys thinking about? Color Schemes?
