Crest Hollow!!

It's kind of a factory but they're very nice there. Never went to a wedding but a bunch of corporate functions. So if you don't mind that there's other things going on then maybe if they have a good deal it's worth it?

Crest Hollow!!

im getting married there in 2 weeks, so far i have NOTHING bad to say :) cant wait to see it all together.
yes there is the possiblity of more then one wedding at a time, but most halls are like that, ive never seen it to be a problem at any other place and i dont see that being a problem there. maybe for something less then a wedding you can get that 'factory' feel but i dont see it..IMO

Re: Crest Hollow!!

I had my wedding there in April and it was amazing. There are other events going on but you really do not know it. They are very good about making sure that there is no guests crashing other parties, etc.

I would have loved to be the only event there but I was not willing to pay the pricetag that is necessary to have my wedding the only event.

I found that Crest Hollow was reasonably priced and beautiful

Crest Hollow!!

Thanks!!

Were you able to get any extra stations at the cocktail hour for free?

Also, they are charging us $1500 to have the cocktail hour outside...did you guys pay that?

Any hotels you guys recommend using near by?

Thanks!!!!!

Crest Hollow!!

I just went to a wedding there a couple of weeks ago, it was absolutely great! Makes me so much more excited for my wedding!

We're working with Eric. We got him to throw in a mashed potato bar. We are paying the fee for the outdoor CH. But we had him write in our contract that we could use our own florist (their contract wants you to use only one of their 4 preferred florists). That was a big deal for me, because the florist I wanted to use was a lot more cost effective than their preferred ones.

I did not get them to throw in any of the stations but I am going to be honest with you. The cocktail hour is huge and you really do not need any of the extras.

Negotiate with them for the outside cocktail hour. I booked in 2010 but the fee then was $950. I did not end up using it because the weather was iffy. There is no reason that it should be $1500 extra.

Also, if you are paying that fee I would make sure they put in the contract that you will be the only party outside that time.

Crest Hollow!!

we didnt try to throw anything foodwise for free, only cause there is soooo sooo much already lol and our group are more the drinking type :) FH is in talks with our BM about the beer tho
as for the outside CH i booked late 2010 so the price was alil less, but yes there is the extra fee for the outside CH. we went with it tho, cause we really wanted that whole outdoor look. we are even getting married there - outside also, weather permitting ::fingers crossed::

Crest Hollow!!

I had my wedding at Crest Hollow two weeks ago and had an amazing experience. They really do everything they can to make sure you and your guests are happy and completely taken care of.

We didn't get anything extra or free thrown in, but like the girls said, their cocktail hour is huge and amazing so it's not necessary. The outside portion is great, but the rooms are just so nice, it's a fine thing to cut out if you don't want to spend the money. On our day since no one had the outdoor CH booked they offered to upgrade us for free! We didn't take advantage because it was just too hot, but at least the offer was there.

There were a couple events going on during our wedding but I didn't notice them at all!

As far as hotels, there are so many in that area as there are so many wedding halls along Jericho. We booked the Hilton Huntington and it was fine, but they had so many renovations and were kind of all over the place. I'm sure in a year they'll be finished and maybe others will have a better experience.

Good luck!

Re: Crest Hollow!!

We had our wedding there and outside of a few people getting sick (which can happen anytime you mix large amounts of food and free alcohol) and one party crasher, it was an amazing night!

Like Mara said, you won't need to upgrade your cocktail hour with extras, there will be a LOT of food and great decor to distinguish each station.
