Crest Hollow Brides Part 2

Crest Hollow Brides Part 2

Since the other CH brides thread is pages back, I think it's time we start another one! let's discuss your room, your BM, color themes and any info obtained about CH's strict policies (which I am starting to learn more and more of each day).

I have the Empire Room, which I recently found out is the other half of the Plaza Room. Our main color is blue, so we're taking advantage of the blue LED lights and trying to get blue fiber optic light centerpieces. FH has been emailing Sharon back and forth, and seems like we need to have a vendor instead of DIY, and that vendor needs to sign a $1 million policy in the event that the tables catch fire....etc. When we initially booked, we assumed there was a restroom on the second floor where our room is located, but last time we stopped by time pay a deposit, Sharon told us there's just the one restroom for all parties. When would beba good time to confirm the number of parties that day/evening? I was thinking asking her in Feb, as most places would be booked for May 6th at that point.

sorry to crash...but wanted to give you info
Sharon was my BM too (i got married in the plaza room)....she would not tell me the amount of parties until we met to give final payment. We asked at the final meeting (which was like 4 weeks prior) and she said she couldnt get that info to us right now. When she did give us the count i asked what kind of affairs they were (wedding, sweet sixteen etc) and she said she doesnt know. turns out there were 3 other wedding while i was there but it was no big deal.

There is only one bathroom and it is downstairs...the bridal suite also has a bathroom but I believe those are all on the downstairs level too.

We are using the Plaza room, second floor next to yours and our color is blue also.

we have also been learning more and more info about the hall and their rules or what you can and cant do there that we were very unaware of at the time we signed the contract.

actually have had a few headaches due to this recently.....

just a heads up since you ladies still have time....unless you booked a house vendor from their lists, your vendors will need to fax them insurance certificates. I found this out a few weeks before the wedding and it was a headache getting the dj and photographer to send them...they said they sent it and chcc said they never got it...this went back and forth. so get a head start and have them send it now...or better yet, see if they can send it to you and you can bring it to chcc directly

Thanks for all the info! We're using a friend as the photographer, and when we went to CH to pay our second deposit, we dropped off her signed waiver. We found out about the waivers shortly after booking in June, so it's something that we'll definitely have out of the way long before the date.

Yes I feel like I wasn't told about all of their strict policies upon signing our contract!! I have been though checking with my vendors about their insurance policies. I think I am going to just ask them for a copy so I can hand deliver it! As far as florist I am still so confused. I am not using a house florist and was told I didnt need to use one as long as they have insurance but now I am very worried!

Look at your contract. If you have to use a house florist it will say it on your contract. If it does I uld get something in writing from your BM that you don't have to

hiiiii...so I went to showcase tonight...it's a lil overwhelming, but i loved some of the centerpieces i saw...

I'm in the emerald room..palettes I'm thinking of diff shades of pinks, and purples.. what do you think?

One thing, i didnt like my room tonight :( OMGGGG I don't know if i'm being OCD, but it gave me a diff feeling tonight..It felt as though it was missing uplighting, the dancefloor light is not led, it only dims out..uhghhh of course i know once the room is decorated it'll look diff... they told me theyre planning on including more uplighting pieces....Anyone else in this same room? I kept going back and forth between emerald, starlight, and plaza...

I dont have florist yet, who are you girls using?

One more thing, anyone able to get chair covers thrown in the contract?

im not in that room but ive seen pictures of weddings in the room and it look really nice. but if your already having these feeling maybe you should try talking to your BM about changing rooms now before its too late.

the showcase's dont really show off the rooms at all, so i wouldnt go by last night 100%. but it might be a good idea to take a day and go look at the rooms again.

i know a few girls in the 2011 got chair covers thrown into their contracts

Re: Crest Hollow Brides Part 2

I checked my contract, and chair covers were thrown in after all.

btw...does anyone have an update on Sharon? we're trying to get a waiver sent to our latest vendor, and they said on the phone this morning that Sharon is still not in.

oh boy I emailed her thu,and never got an answer..I know she works M, W, F, S,

You know at the time of signing, i didn't know what the room would look like if i needed chair covers or not, but i sooo want them now..I wonder if i could negotiate something bc @ $3 a chair, for 200 guests..RIIIDIIIICOULOUS

You didn't get them written into your contract?

Sharon was on vacation, and then injured her back (?), I'm not sure of the details. Whenever we go to make a payment/ask questions, we ask to speak with her, but she's usually unavailable. So far, we've met with Helen and Costanza. Helen was SUPER helpful, but Costanza is new and didn't even know about the waiver outside vendors have to sign for approval. Yes, we're still waiting to see about having our florist approved (sigh)

Re: Crest Hollow Brides Part 2

no :( Honestly i wasnt even thinking chair covers @ the time...I negotiated some other stuff..ughh..

By the way, anyone thinking of doing a candy bar? if so, what's their 'policy'? can you create yourself?
