Crest Hollow Brides! UPDATED
I'm going to a wedding tomorrow night at the Crest Hollow. Anything in particular you want me to look for? I will try to take some pictures and I will post a review.
I promised a review, so here it is. Sorry, no pics yet.
First, we pulled into the parking lot and had to wait a good ten minutes for valet parking.
The cocktail hour was upstairs (sorry - don't know the name of the room) The room was big, and there was lots of seating, and two bars. The food and service was good.
We moved into another room upstairs for the reception. (Sorry - don't know the name) The place looked great. We were seated next to the DJ, so when the waiter came to take orders, I couldn't hear him. When I asked him to repeat the choices, he said (in an annoyed voice) 'chicken, beef, or fish'. That was it. No explanation. That annoyed me a little.
When the food was served, the waiters came around with a whole tray of whatever they were serving, and put it on our plates, rather than coming out of the kitchen with our plates ready. I don't know if this is a Crest Hollow thing, or if this particular couple requested that. I prefer to receive all my food at once, not the meat, and then five minutes later, my potatoes and vegetables. JMO
The reception was upstairs, and the bathrooms are all downstairs.
The food was good, and the bartenders were good too.
The best part of the night was the Crest Hollow 'flaming Viennese hour'. There were so many desserts and they were delicious! That was so great.
Overall, it is a good place. I just wanted to point out a few things potential brides may want to avoid. Hope I don't get flamed for an honest review.
