crest hollow brides - what time on invites?

my ceremony starts at 6:30- i know a lot of guests will show up late. that's their mentality. we are going to start right at 6:30 - what time should the invites say?

i've read that other reception halls start drinks 1/2 an hour before the ceremony starts. does chcc do this? please help. i am ordering invites in a day or 2. thanks!!

Not having my ceremony there- so I don't know.
Call them and ask what they do before the ceremony.
My feeling is, put the right time... even those who are late should make it on time to your WEDDING, if they miss it, it's their loss

I am getting married at CHCC the week after you. My ceremony is starting at 7:30 and my BM said I should put 7:30 on the invite, but I still think that I am going to put 7:00. I also asked about the drinks beforehand and was told they do not do it.

but if you put 7 pm on the invites what about the people who come on time or 10 minutes earlier? then they have 40 minutes to wait around?

i'm contemplating doing the same but don't know if i should.

I put 6:30 on the invites but the ceremony starts at 7pm. CH said they would provide drinks IF there is nothing going on before and they aren't busy. This is a sore point I have with them and if they don't do it, I will be very angry!

Merf,

I was upset that the drinks before the ceremony. I was told that it gets too complicated if they only offer champange. My BM told me that they have tried it in the past, but then some people want water, others want soda, etc. I would still like some kind of pre-ceremony beverages available.

Here's an idea

'Ceremony starts at 6pm; doors open at 5:30' or something to that effect. Even if you say 'ceremony to begin at 6pm' then people know they should get there a bit earlier (but you'll always have some that come late)
