If anyone has been to a recent wedding at the Crest Hollow Country Club, let me know what you ate and what you thought about it. Thanks!

Welcome to LIWeddings
Which room did you choose...? We have the ermrald (sp) room.
We can't wait and are so excited
From what I heard, it's gonna be a great time cause of the service and the food is up there with the best of them

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
I went to 2 weddings. One was MAy 03, my sister's, one was July 03, my cousin...
My sister's wedding ,e verything went off q/o a hitch. She was promised an outdoor coctail hour, but it was cold, so she got a refund. There was so much GREAT food at both cocktail hours! To die for! At the dinner I had fish both times (cna;t remeber what kind) but it was great. Everyone bragged so much about the food. The venetian hour at my sister's was cool, they wheeled everything into the room with sparkers! (She was in the starlight room). My cousin had a smaller reception and the venetian hour was in a small annex to room to the side. I didn't like the Emerald room, it was weird and crowded and hard to navigate (I think the couple booked too small a room for the size of a crowd they had, the cocktail hour room for that wedding was small as well). The starlight room was really big and was all on one level, so you could just dance over to someone across the room. I don't remeber exactly what i had, but the food was really top notch, from the cocktail hour to the appetizer (fruit) to the salads , entree and ventetian hour. I really love CHCC

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club
Are you asking me? My sis had the starlight room. i don't know what the plaza room is like. I'm not getting married at CHCC. I really love it, but it's not the atmosphere I want I want for my wedding. I'm looking for somewhere with fireplaces and big windows and stuff (i know that's vague).
ETS: The Emerald Room is on the first floor and has 2 levels. The Starlight room i a big room upstairs, in all the pictures it has the tulle draping.
