Well, first off, I should say they did a fantastic job with our reception! If you can request a maitre d, I highly recommend Ralph and bridal attendant Marina. They were so attentive. I gave Ralph a really long list of instructions of how I wanted things set up and he followed it to the letter. That's my other piece of advice. If you want things done a little differently or have a lot of special details, write it all down for them.

Thank you. I am having the ceremony there as well as the reception. We are also trying to have the cocktail hour outside. People have warned me that they try to charge you additional for everything possible.
Who was your banquet manager? We are working with Sharon. Not my fav, but we will definitely try ralph and marina.
I'm just worried since they tend to book multiple events on one day.

I just got married and had my reception at crest hollow country club. My ceremony was in the plaza room and reception was in emerald.
Everything was absolutely perfect.. You do not have to worry about one thing.

I didn't have an outdoor CH, but I didn hear they charge you extra. My BM was Janet. Believe me, my biggest concern was the multipe events. I didn't care if I saw another bride--I just didn't want it to be chaotic, but honestly if was fine. I didn't see any brides and only when I went downstairs to the bridal suite (also where bathrooms are) did I notice other parties. Everything ran smoothly and on time.

we went there last weekend and loved the ballroom but they did highball us a little when it came to extra fees. they added a few hundred dollars worth of 'outdoor' fees, which were because we wanted an outdoor ceremony and CH. also, he said if there were another wedding, there could be 2 CH's outside *at the same time*! he said they'd only overlap for about 15 minutes, but i just didn't feel comfortable with it. i wish i could've gotten over it, because the place was sooooooooo beautiful!

Really they told you that. We are having our CH outside and they told us that it would only be one party. They said they would stagger the times so that would not happen.

yes! that was just about the only reason we didn't book. he said it was possible (not definite) that 2 parties could be having an outdoor CH at the same time. they'd be on either side of the pool and essentially, when one party is starting to 'leave' the other would just be arriving. still, i didn't like the thought of my guests seeing the beginning or end of another wedding's CH. we also didn't like the added fees for having the CH and ceremony outdoors. but the room we would have had was GORGEOUS!!!

LOL I find it interesting how we both got two different stories. I will have to call and ask about that again. They told us that that person's cocktail hour would be inside. Interesting. Oh well. Too late now!
We loved it bc we are having over 300 and it would seat all of our guests comfortably!
Have you guys decided on a place yet?

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club Brides
you know, we made it a point to ask about that because it was about the first question FH thought of when they showed us all the rooms and then said the CH could be outside. honestly, i do NOT think you'll have a problem... you could wind up with no other weddings at your time!!! maybe since your party is sooo large, they wouldn't put anyone else out there until you were fully cleared out??
we booked with Vineyard Caterers!! I couldn't be happier!

I am getting married at Crest HOllow myself this coming may. I was charged for the ceremoney but he waived it for the cocktail hr which will be outdoors as well.. so it depends on the banquet manager that you are working with.. Talk to them to see if they can work with you. I am truly excited about everything,, Outdoor ceremoney (gorgeous) outdoor cocktail hr (amazing) and the reception. Well good luck to all you ladies..

I had my wedding there last May. I'd give it an A or A-. There were a few smaller things that built up that warrants not granting the site an A+. But overall, a positive experience. Runs with clockwork-like efficiency. FM me for more info.
