Who do you recommend to use for flowers? I am starting look tomorrow! Is it expensive?

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club Brides~Flowers
Just picked my florist but they're too far for your venue.
I visited a lot of the big flower people mentioned here near your place.
Seems like plastic gold/silver containers, glass cubes and those clear glass pillar/flute things are standards for most floral companies these days (which we didn't want as it didn't fit our venue) and most affordable in terms of flower centerpiece holders.
If you want that though, I'd say Michelle hidden essence is the most affordable, she works out her home and is nice), b**tons is the next for price i think, didn't like them at all but they had nice flower sample in a glass cube when we were there.
Personally, I liked Bella flowers. They were our second choice of florists after visiting a ton.
It's unbelievable how much flower costs/ideas vary from place to place. Definitely shop around, there are so many options. It honestly makes my headspin, and I dont like when people dont break down costs or give you the specifics to what you are thinking of ordering, size etc. We are not flower people and didn't want to spend much on them, but after seeing what was out there, realized we had to up the budget for what we liked unfortunately. Non-floral is great too if you can set it up, but we just couldn't deal with set up and stuff for that in the end.

I'm not looking at florists until probably next month, but I will say to check your contract from CHCC and make sure you're able to use outside florists. There's a line in there about only using house recommended florists. Our BM wrote a little addendeum for us that if we use an outside one its okay, but double check yours before you go looking.
That being said, from what I've heard on this site, I'm probably going to look at Flowers by Brian and Distinctive Floral (both recommended vendors BTW), and B*urtons and possibly Pedestals (not recommended). HTH!

I am using Distinctive, but had a whole different experience. Though she also didnt give us a print out, i was able to write down what we were getting for comparison. But I absolutely loved her vision over fbb.

Thanks for the info!!! I have to use an in house flower vendor. So that does limit me.

I chose to book with FBB. I didn't really look anywhere else, since it was in the contract with CHCC to use a house vendor and I wanted to make things easy on ourselves. I thought I got a decent price for what I wanted.

Re: Crest Hollow Country Club Brides~Flowers
I booked with Distinctive. Kelly was so nice and I got such a great vibe from her. I got a quote for half high and half low centerpieces(FH refused to go). I guess he felt bad so he came with me to FBB and demanded we get all high (the man who declared he had no opinion on flowers). Joseph at FBB did have a better pitch/presentation (they take you to their showroom - Distinctive just looks at pics on the computer) but their quote was way more than I wanted to spend. So the FH and I went back to Kelly at Distinctive and she totally worked with us. We booked on the spot without thinking twice about FBB.

I booked with Distinctive Floral and I have to say they were the best quality service that I got. I think that Burtons and ************* are part of the lower end florists. Distinctive Floral Designs quality is impeccable and their team was so nice. I was really impress with their work. I went to Pedestals and James Anthony for ideas even though they are not part of CHCC vendors and Distinctive Floral is at their same level. I came in with a few ideas that I got from the internet that were low and high centerpieces and Maria help turned my view into reality. They had so many choice for me to choose from and worked my vision. I ended up choosing one of their high crystal candelabra centerpieces for now. They even gave me the option that if i change my mind, or see something else I could change it being that my wedding is so far away. My budget was on the higher end. They accommodate all budgets because they asked me what my 'COMFORT ZONE' was and showed me what I can afford. We went to see a couple of florist and they were the best. Maria was very easy going and made me and my FH feel so relaxed. We knew right away that they were the florist for us. Maria has kept in touch with me since my booking and even has sent me some other ideas that I may be interested in. She also is helping me find an event planner for my decor.
I am a little confused as to why your experience was so different from mine.
