Hi ladies! This is my first post on LI Brides. Congrats to all the 2013 brides! Im just wondering if anyone has pics of past weddings in the Emerald Room at Crest Hollow. I'm also open to hearing your ideas, too! Has anyone seen the gold railings covered up with something? Truth be told, I kinda hate them... lol. :)

My CH was in the Emerald Room. To be honest, I hated all of the gold (on the chairs etc) in CHCC at first, but on the day of it really disappears. The room will be full of guests and other decor and it will not stand out the way it does in the empty room. I truthfully wouldn't spend the effort covering it, it really does look fine when the room is full of activity! :) GL

I'm having my reception in the Emerald Room too, there are some pics in my album from a past showcase. I'm also not a fan of the gold (or the carpet) but like a previous poster said, you probably won't notice it when the guests are in there.
We're doing high centerpieces. We also have a white DJ booth and white photobooth, so we plan on doing white linens and chair covers to give the room a bit more modern feel.
At the showcase there last week, they also had white (or black, depending on what you want) drapings that hung over the walls, so if its in your budget, you could change the look of the room quite a bit.

I think I want to do high centerpieces too... and get the white chair covers. Are you leaning towards high or low?
