Crest Hollow Prefferred Photographers-Need answers from everyone

I am thinking about hiring the photographers that CHCC suggests, my thinking is that: since those photographers work there often, they would know all the best areas to take pictures.

Before i meet with them i would like to do some research first.

If you hired or met with the following could you let me know about them in terms of price and quality of work. Thanks.

i'm getting married at CHCC, but i'm not using any of their preferred photographers.

I am using Patken. Love them. They did my engagement pics in my album

Agreed, I've heard Patken is really good. I didn't personally like their work (wasn't my style), but a friend of mine is using them and she raves about them. All other vendors i've never heard of =/

btw, I found that many of the RH's say the same thing about preferred vendors (use them, they know the space), but they actually get paid a percentage when you use someone recommended, so of course they're going to tell you that. I was also told by our photographer that vendors have to pay the RH to have them recommend, which also says you can s*ck and still be a recommended vendor. Just some food for thought.

When I contacted my vendors, I made sure to ask whether they had done work with my RH so that they knew the space.

I talked with them all as I am getting married at Crest Hollow too! Patken had the best prices, not sure if I like their style though, so I am still looking! I like Sherwood's the best but they are very expensive and ******** is good too, because they give you two photographers so it all depends on your budget!

I am using a few preferred vendors, but that is because they get great reviews on here as well (Camelot, Variety)

for flowers, photog, etc we are not using preferred vendors. Do not feel like you have to!

I have heard mixed reviews on ADA, but did see some of their pictures at my RH and they were nice.

I posted to your other thread and am recommending my Photog, Unique Visions Studio!

where are you not allowed to go?

I am not really sure...it depends on the day, the time of day and what other events are going on. for example if it is when the country club is open you are limited due to their members being in certain areas and if another wedding is going on you have to parts of the grounds then the other wedding party.

i met with paken and they were great but u need to book an engagement shoot with them...and we didnt want one to try to save money..so we went with duet

We went with Patken :) really happy with our choice, price was good and they have a lot of styles that we were looking for too.

When we call DUET they said they were booked for our day already, but then I just learned it was only b/c they don't like working on Sundays

just make sure which ever photograher you do pick you are comfortable with. Crest Hollow is actually having a vendor showcase on the 18th if you want to meet some of there photographers and other vendors. We went to the one in Jan. And it was really helpful

i'm getting married at CHCC also but i am not using any of their recommended vendors for photo's. I checked them all out but fell in love with another company - Thomas Paul!

I'm a Thomas Paul girl too, and he totally knows the grounds and will take gorgeous pics!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

sherwood triat is beautiful and they take amazing pics but were just too $$$ for me and FH
